I’m back!

Long time, no me.

Thought I’d celebrate my fresh start with a fresh theme.  And with me, there’s no surprise that it’s purple.  For those of you just getting to know me, it’s my signature color.  As the lone female in Boyland, I have to remind them from time to time that I am indeed a girl.

So, what’s been going on since my last post?  Well, I learned the hard way that if your insurance plan is going to change at the start of a New Year, make sure you’ve gotten your refill processed before the end of the year.  I was supposed to get my shipment sent on January 2nd.  Got a phone call that afternoon that my insurance coverage had ended December 31st.  Even though I was with the same provider, I had a new plan, and that plan didn’t have prior authorization.  So no meds.  It finally all got cleared up, and I got my shipment – on February 22nd.  Fortunately, the Gilenya Go Program helped me out and made sure I had medicine while the chaos got straightened out.  Going through that hell made me feel even more sympathy for the folks who have to fight the insurance companies on their own.

How have I been doing with my habits?  Up and down.  I have kept reading James Clear’s blog and getting more ideas to try.  One of his blog entries really got me thinking.  He suggests treating failure like a scientist.  Trying to build a new habit is experimenting, and sometimes experiments fail.  But proving something wrong can be just as useful as proving something right, as long as you’ve learned from the experience.  Just take the lessons into the next experiment.

So here goes the next experiment.
